Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze the quoted price, using costing principles in determining the price. Knowledgeable on zero based costing.
• Develop supplier quality plans in terms of supplier manufacturing, inspection, people capability.
• Manage effective price and terms negotiations with the supplier.
• Costing skills like zero based costing, activity based costing etc.
• N-depth understanding of basic engineering processes i.e. casting, forging, pressing, stamping, die casting, machining, injection moulding and proprietary parts manufacturing.
• Understanding of raw material and commodities market
• Implement cost reduction initiatives with support of other departments.
• Track and improve supplier capability, monthly performance and conduct training to develop sustained competence.
• Identification of suppliers components that need focused audit in order to get all parts in STU(ship to use) status
• Costing/Pricing

Qualification/Experience: BE 4-12 yrs exp.
