(JOB TITLE) :  Engineer / Executive   -  Logistics

 

Brief Role Summary

Primary accountability of handling all outward movements, Inventory and warehouse management, Negotiation with vendors, handling Painting unit, leading a team of people, Quality & other workmen, initiate & implement TPM Practices, Single piece flow  & in coordination with other line managers concerned.   Will be completely responsible for production & productivity in line with customer requirement. Handling contract employees / People management is the key to this function.

Responsibilities : -    1)      Vendor selection, Transporter Evaluation and development 2)      Cost Estimation, Price negotiation and finalisation. 3)      Handling the complete outward Logistic activity 4)      Defect analysis, Establish Root Cause, CAPA implementation in co-ordination with QC Engineers. 5)      Improves and maintain Delivery rating to customers. 6)      Achieve Cost reduction by Value Engineering, Evaluating Purchasing Efficiency, Productivity improvements in Painting and Packing activities. 7)      Coordinate with Marketing and Production team to ensure adherence of delivery schedule to       customers.     Problem Solving : -   Seeks all possible relevant information for problem solving and decision making; consults widely, the facts, analyses issues from different perspectives; breaks problem into constituent parts and differentiates key elements from the irrelevant or trivial; makes accurate use of logic; draws sound inferences from information available.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education  –  B-Com / Diploma in Mechanical with good academical back ground

 

Experience – 5 to 6 years wherein at least 4 years in logistics activities and good knowledge about painting.

 

1)     Skill Requirements - Decision making, Presentation, Business Planning, Capacity planning / scheduling & line Balancing, Exposure in ISO 9001 & 14001, Negotiation & Out souring, Capability to handle a team of Contract employees to the tune of 70- 100 persons.
